About FinEval
Shared tasks are collaborative initiatives where researchers and practitioners work together to address a common challenge using shared datasets and evaluation metrics. FinEval — Financial Information Access and Evaluation — aims to foster competition while providing a community venue, with new editions called annually alongside the FinNLP workshop.
We have several interesting shared tasks in the collocated event, FinEval. The 2026 task list will be announced on this page; see the official FinEval page for the full archive and rolling proposals.

For Task Proposers
FinEval welcomes proposals for new shared tasks on a rolling basis. A strong proposal includes:
- A clear problem definition addressing an open challenge in FinNLP / FinAI.
- A high-quality, openly accessible dataset (or a concrete plan to construct one).
- Well-defined evaluation metrics and reproducible baselines.
- A realistic timeline and committed organizing team (minimum of two organizers).
Roles typically include: Lead Organizer (oversees the task and deliverables), Co-Organizers (data preparation, evaluation, communication), and Advisory Organizers (guidance without daily involvement).
Send proposals to aclsigfintech@gmail.com. Proposals are reviewed on a rolling basis.
